If you’re getting married soon, you’re probably looking for the right jewelry to wear. But, after paying for attire, bridesmaids’ gowns, catering, the wedding venue, decorations, and much more, who has money left over to splurge on expensive jewelry?
Instead of shopping for jewelry, why not make your own? Pearls are becoming more common in wedding jewelry. These trendy beads are no longer reserved for Grandma. Women of all ages are rocking pearls in true fashion.
Pearls are a classy type of jewelry that never goes out of style. They ooze charm and sophistication – perfect for a formal event such as a wedding.
If you want to make your own pearl wedding jewelry, you have many options. Pearl beads come in not only white, but also red, pink, silver, black, blue, pink, purple, copper, and bronze, so you can find the right shade to match your attire and mood. You can use pearls to create earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and even headbands. Pearls look especially beautiful when combined with crystals and other gemstones.

Pearl Wedding Necklace with Ribbon. To make this necklace, you’ll first need to gather the materials. You’ll need pearl beads of three different sizes (4 mm, 6 mm, and 8 mm), 6mm white crystal beads, pink ribbon, tiger tail, needle, white thread, crimp beads, and pliers. You’ll create a string of beads by following the instructions in the tutorial. You’ll then connect the ribbon to the string of beads. Tie a bow knot, and you’re done!

Cascading Pearl Wedding Earrings. Gather the materials: 6mm and 8 mm pearls, 6 mm crystals, earring hooks, head pins, chain, wire cutters, and pliers. Start off by putting all the beads onto the head pins by using a simple loop technique. Cut a 2-inch piece of chain and attach it to the earring wire. Attach the bead charms to the wire. Close the loop and keep adding beads to the chain until it’s filled up. Pearl and crystal beads make these earrings look absolutely stunning!

Crystal and Pearl Twist Necklace. Crystals and pearls make this necklace look truly elegant. To make this necklace, you’ll need a strand each of white freshwater pearls and clear Chinese crystals, beading wire, a double strand clasp, four crimp tubes, wire cutters, and crimp pliers. Decide on the perfect length, and then string the pearls onto that length of beading wire. Snip the wire and repeat with the Chinese crystals. Once you have threaded both necklaces, you’ll need to squeeze the crimp tube in a certain way so it creates a U shape. Consult the tutorial for the exact method, which can be a bit complicated. Then you’ll need to thread the beading wire through the crimp tubes. Squeeze the crimp tubes shut, cut off the excess wire and you’re done!
- Beaded Rose Necklace. This is a beautiful piece of jewelry to make for your bridesmaids. You will need a strand of 7 mm pearl beads, a strand of smaller beads, jump rings of all sizes (small, medium and large), chain, clasp, eye pins, and pliers. You’ll also need a flower, in which case you can use a real one or a fabric one from Michael’s or another craft store. Add two jump rings to the back of the flower. Next, you’ll need to thread beads through the eye pins, and then enclose the bead with a loop. You’ll need to make a dozen of these. Repeat with smaller beads and connect to jump rings. Attach to the flower, add clasp pieces, and you’re done!

Pearl and Bow Earrings. If you’re looking for something cute and girly for your bridesmaids, these are the perfect earrings. You’ll need pliers, scissors, pearl beads, ribbon (in the color of your choice), earring wire, head pins, and a fork (yes, you read that right!).
First, cut an 8-inch piece of ribbon and place it behind the fork. Grab the left side of the ribbon and cross it over the fork. Pull the right side through the middle prong and hold in place. Take the piece on the right and bring it to the back by pulling it through the middle prong. This may seem confusing, so be sure to look at the photos in the tutorial if you get stuck.Flip the fork around and tie both ends. Slide the bow off the fork. Next, get a head pin and place a pearl onto it. Then carefully pierce the bow. Cut the excess wire, leaving just enough for a loop. Attach the earring wire, close the loop, and you’re done!Your wedding is a special event. Choose a tutorial that interests you, and you’ll have a beautiful piece of handmade pearl bead jewelry to call your own.
